Effective Date: May 25, 2026
Strictly On-Device Data Policy: Inhale operates entirely offline. No microphone recordings, audio samples, or breath-check history are ever sent to external servers, cloud environments, or third parties.
1. Overview
Inhale is an informational mobile application designed to help users run private breath practice checks and view simple on-device feedback. This Privacy Policy outlines our strict limits on data handling, assuring that your personal space remains completely secure.
2. Data We Access & Process
- Microphone / Audio Data: Inhale requires access to your device microphone to capture sound during a breath check. The raw audio buffer is processed strictly on-device in memory, is not saved to persistent storage, and is never uploaded anywhere.
- On-Device Breath Check History: App-generated breath check values and session history are stored entirely within the application's local sandbox storage using React Native's secure local persistence framework. We do not have access to these files.
- Setup Answers: Your setup and preference responses are stored locally on your device to route you to the appropriate screen and personalize the app experience. No information is transmitted off-device.
3. Third-Party Integrations
Inhale v1.0 does not include any third-party software development kits (SDKs), advertising platforms, or analytics engines that collect or track user data. The app contains no trackers.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Since all data is stored on-device in the local application storage, you have complete control over it. You can erase all breath-check history at any time by clearing the application data in your device settings or by deleting the Inhale application.
5. Use Limits
Inhale is intended for informational, educational, and personal wellness use only. It is not intended to evaluate, predict, prevent, manage, or guide decisions about any health condition. For health concerns, contact a qualified professional.
6. Sources & Methodology
Inhale shows app-defined informational breath pattern indices derived from the sound pattern of a recording. These indices are internal calculations for comparison over time. The app does not use clinical reference ranges.
General information about breathing difficulty is available from MedlinePlus, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine: https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/003075.htm
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published here with an updated effective date.
